Our client, a Commonwealth Government organisation whose focus is to provide support to Australian's living with disability, are Seeking the experience of an Data Architect for a long 12 + 12 month contract based in ACT, NSW or VIC.

Duties of the Data Architect

• Provide technical leadership to the project delivery teams through design reviews, advising on implementation best practices, defining and refining release process and technical workshops.
• Review and refine the data delivery framework to enhance integration of new sources, performance of existing data delivery and rapid development of new subject areas.
• Own the technical implementation of new data from analysis to delivery.
• Facilitate continuous improvement measures in delivery principles, coding standards, documentation and provide training sessions to team.
• Provide guidance on Conceptual, Logical and Physical data models and strong experience in Data model tools like Erwin.

Skills and Experience Required

• A deep understanding of Data Warehouse Architecture, Data Modelling Techniques, ELT and ETL Processes and SCD.
• Proven experience using any 2 of the following data platforms: Teradata, Redshift, Snowflake, Data Bricks.
• A deep knowledge of either SQL or Concepts.
• Proficiency in an ETL tool like, Talend, Informatics or DBT.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, AZURE or GCP (desired).
• Knowledge of Erwin or Enterprise Architect (desired).
• Ability to design for largescale data volume, performance, throughput and latency (desired).
