About the role

Provide medical services under supervision in a biopsychosocial and cultural mental health model at a Registrar/Principal House Officer level to patients in a public health care setting. As a Registrar, to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfy the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and medical board requirements in order to practice as a specialist.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Fulfil the accountabilities and responsibilities of this role in accordance with Metro North's purpose and objectives.
  • Ensure patients, families and staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team and with consumers and carers in the delivery of comprehensive clinical care
  • Act as a role model to residents and Interns through providing on-the-job guidance and direction and become involved in prevocational educational programs including teaching and supervision of medical students.
