Our client is a successful poultry growing farm based in Anakie and Maryborough, Victoria. They currently have a network of 8 farms, each farm is responsible for raising 400,000 birds using innovative and world leading technologies.

To meet this growing demand, our client requires the addition of multiple Farm Hands to assist the Farm Managers in the day-to-day activities required to maintain optimum living conditions for poultry livestock.

KEY ACTIVITIES

This role is responsible for a range of farm related duties including (but not limited to):

• Rotary hoeing of shed floors
• Washing of chicken sheds
• Ensuring biosecurity, disease prevention and welfare protocols are adhered to
• General upkeep and maintenance of the farm and farming equipment

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Successful applicants must be willing to learn and give anything a go and be physically fit.

In addition, we also require:

Previous experience driving farm machinery, including tractors and telehandlers is a plus

• A valid driver’s license – desirable but not essential
• You must be in Australia (DO NOT apply if you are overseas)

On the job training will be provided, but experience with machinery and basic tools is a plus.

Backpackers and other visa holders with full time working rights are welcome to apply.

Candidates with trade qualifications/exp in construction, civils, plumbing, electrical, maintenance would also be highly regarded and encouraged to apply.
