As a Senior Accountant– Accounting & Tax Services, you will lead the accurate delivery of complex accounting and tax engagements across a diverse client portfolio. This role blends hands-on technical expertise with strategic oversight, offering a balance between independent leadership and collaborative mentoring within your client service team or "pod."

You will be a key driver in delivering both compliance and advisory outcomes, ensuring high-quality execution of client work while fostering trusted relationships. Your leadership ability, as well as progression opportunities, will help shape the team’s performance and growth, contributing to internal efficiencies, client satisfaction, and firm-wide excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end delivery of accounting and tax services, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.

Act as a senior point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and understanding their strategic needs.

Review and oversee the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS, and other regulatory requirements.

Provide strategic input into client advisory work including structuring, planning, and implementation.

Guide and mentor onshore & offshore team members, promoting professional development and a high-performance culture.

Ensure effective workflow management, delegation, and completion of tasks across your pod, locally and offshore.

Identify and drive opportunities for improvement in processes, client value, and service delivery.

Collaborate with partners and directors to identify and pursue opportunities for growth within your client base.

Assist with managing working capital with Associate Director / Director & Partners.

About You

CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent)

3+ years of experience in public practice or professional services, with demonstrated leadership responsibilities

Strong technical knowledge in Australian tax, compliance, and financial reporting

Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead teams across multiple engagements

Commercially minded with a proactive approach to problem solving and opportunity identification

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Tech-savvy and open to process improvement and innovation
