Due to a continually expanding client base, we are searching for suitable Home Care Workers/Support Workers and Nursing Students who are able to fulfil regular and ongoing care visits with Nurse Next Door - Hobart East. Multiple positions are available within the Sorell, Rosny, Oatlands, Brighton and surrounding areas.

You have a reliable vehicle and current drivers licence, and are willing to travel to client homes in the Sorell, Rosny, Oatlands, Brighton and surrounding areas.

You will have good communication skills and be courteous and responsive when we contact you.

You will be flexible and available for a variety of short and long shifts in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights and weekends.

You have current experience in community care/ home care/ Support Work and working with clients with complex physical needs.

You are a self led leader with the ability to take responsibility for your own behaviour & success, however you are also coachable to doing things the ‘Nurse Next Door’ way.

You must be able speak and write in English, however other languages will also be an asset!

You have the following current documentation to bring to your interview:

National Police Check (Aged Care/ Vulnerable Persons Sector)

Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) Check (RWVP - for paid work)

NDIS Worker Orientation Module Completion

NDIS Worker Screener

First Aid and CPR Certificate

Qualifications

What your Job Responsibilities will be:

Provision of skilled and quality in-home caregiving:

Personal Care

Manual Handling (including wheelchair transfers, variety of lifting machines including sling hoist, sit to stand lifter etc).

Mealtime assistance

Catheter/Bowel/PEG tube care

Companionship

Medication Administration

Light Housekeeping

Assisting clients to access the community

Running errands for clients

You must be willing to undertake and complete our mandatory paid internal e-learning and competency programmes in the timeframe allocated to you.

You must be confident in detecting and reporting any concerns to your clinical manager.

You must be willing to think outside the box and find those gems that will make your clients life better.
