Homeless Healthcare is a dynamic, not for profit organisation providing healthcare to people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. The organisation runs mobile GP clinics in various settings across Perth as well as running nurse led assertive street outreach, collaborative in-reach into RPH hospital and a 20-bed Medical Respite Centre.
The Street Health program is a specialised, assertive outreach program providing primary healthcare to people experiencing homelessness. It's staffed by a multi-disciplinary team that works holistically with street present people who have typically experienced multiple and complex factors such as drug and alcohol use, family and community violence, mental health issues, disadvantage and poverty.
We are currently seeking highly competent, autonomous and compassionate Registered Nurses for upcoming roles, including our growing Street Health team.
About the role
We are looking for dedicated nurses with a passion for working with marginalised communities. You will have a strong understanding of health issues affecting people experiencing homelessness and a trauma informed, client centered attitude.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with clients who present with complex and co-occurring needs. To be successful, applicants must be very confident in making autonomous decisions and be able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment to achieve best patient outcomes.

The successful candidate will require:
Registered Nurse with current unrestricted AHPRA registration.
At least 2 years post registration experience.
Passion for working with marginalised communities.
Wound care, ECG and phlebotomy experience or willingness to learn.
Experience working with people living with mental illness and/or having experienced trauma.
Knowledge of services and community resources relevant to the homelessness, AOD and mental health sector.
Knowledge of harm minimisation practices and willingness to champion these.
Ability to thrive with limited supervision.
Ability to build and maintain effective multidisciplinary working relationships.
The successful candidate must possess a National Police Clearance that was obtained within 3 months or be willing to obtain.
The successful candidate must possess a WWC or be able to obtain.
Current CPR certification.
Desirable
Current immunisation certificate (or working towards).
Experience in primary, community or ED nursing.
