Contract Details:

BLACKROC is partnering with a major Federal government agency to find a skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer, specialising in Red Hat OpenShift administration. This is a high-impact role within a large-scale, mission-critical environment.

Role Purpose:
As an experienced OpenShift Administrator, you'll manage, secure, and scale OpenShift infrastructure in complex public sector environments. You’ll play a leading role in automation, mentoring, and cluster operations while ensuring compliance with security frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure and manage OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters
• Drive automation using Terraform, Ansible, Helm
• Assist developers with containerised deployment via CI/CD
• Ensure compliance and security across infrastructure
• Lead projects and provide mentorship to junior engineers
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet service delivery goals

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of system admin, 3+ years in Kubernetes/OpenShift
• Red Hat certification (or commitment to obtain)
• Experience in regulated or government environments
• Deep skills in Kubernetes, Git, Linux, Python/Bash

Desirable:

• Certifications: AWS, Azure, GCP, CKA
• Strong scripting and DevOps tooling skills
