THE ROLE

This role is suited to either a senior accountant looking to progress up the ranks, or an existing assistant manager looking to make the move to a client focused, highly engaging environment.

As the assistant manager, you will have a breadth of autonomy over your own client portfolio, structuring things how you want them to be, supporting and mentoring a team of junior accountants, and driving the growth of your portfolio in line with the wider goals of the firm.

Some of your duties will include:

Research on complex tax issues for private and corporate clients

Preparation and presentation of tax matters

Preparation of Income Tax Returns, & Financial Statements for all types of entities

Liaising with the ATO on taxation matters

Liaising with clients and other stakeholders

Managing and mentoring junior accountants

THE INDIVIDUAL

A suitable candidate will possess the following:

5+ years of experience in Business Services & Tax in an Australian accounting firm (desirable)

CA/CPA qualifications, or currently studying (clawbacks also paid for if required)

Genuine interest and or qualifications in tax

Excellent relationship management skills with various client profiles

Strong leadership skills and natural mentorship ability

Exceptional interpersonal skills- both written & verbal

Ability to handle competing priorities in a dynamic environment
