Position Overview

You'll be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing full-stack applications that are critical to BirdDog’s platform and customer experience. This role is ideal for a developer with strong technical skills and a passion for media technology and real-time video solutions.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop scalable and high-performance applications for BirdDog Connect

· Design and implement frontend UIs using modern JavaScript frameworks

· Build and maintain robust backend services, APIs, and microservices

· Work with real-time data pipelines and video streaming protocols (e.g., NDI, SRT, WebRTC).

· Collaborate with various engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.

· Ensure code quality through automated testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.

· Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the full application stack in a production environment.

· Stay up to date with trends in cloud architecture, streaming media, and video production workflows.

Required Skills & Experience

· Experience building scalable APIs with Node.js, Python, and C++

· Strong proficiency in Node.js, HTML5, and CSS3.

· Strong proficiency with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and asynchronous programming.

· Experience working with WebRTC, FFmpeg, or NDI video protocols.

· Hands-on experience with AWS pipelines, containers and Elastic Beanstalk.

· Comfortable with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).

· Familiarity with Git-based workflows and collaborative development practices.

· Exposure to video editing, broadcast software, or live production environments.

· Understanding of video codecs, media pipelines, and low-latency streaming.
