OVERALL POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Network Lead Engineer – where my extensive experience in the operation and maintenance of IP/MPLS equipment and other networking devices can be utilized to enhance the company's network infrastructure. This person would thrive on challenges in a high paced environment, has a passion for Telecommunication In addition, we’re after someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as be a team player.
In this role, you will be:
· Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues related to IP/MPLS implementation.
· Work on EWO & PTW JIRA Tickets and implement solutions as per Helix EO (Engineering Order).
· Lead implementation of new site builds from an IT Network perspective.
· Create High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents as per the Scope of Work (SOW).
· Prepare Optus fortnightly, monthly, and weekly reports using JIRA tickets.
· Develop Request for Proposal (RFP) documents for Optus IPNE and Telstra WNI projects.
· Commission and decommission network elements, ensuring smooth integration into existing infrastructure.
· Upgrade IOS versions to prevent system vulnerabilities and bugs.
· Install, configure, and maintain network devices, including routers and switches.
· Conduct capacity planning and enhance link capacity for critical NOC elements.
· Ensure all network designs meet quality standards based on process guidelines.
· Drive best practices aligned with company frameworks and industry standards.
· Maintain high-quality service delivery to customers and stakeholders.

Description
Network Implementation
Ensure Network Implementation of the critical Elements like routers and switches as per the MOP.
Integrate new devices to the existing network and configure required services to all core devices.
Strong expertise in routing protocols (ISIS, OSPF, BGP) and MPLS L2/L3 VPNs.
Hands-on experience with network elements such as routers, switches, and other telecommunication infrastructure
Familiarity with JIRA ticketing systems, Helix EO, and network reporting tools.
Experience with network migration and service implementation in a large-scale environment Preparation, Verification & Validation of network designs
Provide technical support to team
Ensure volume targets are met on daily/weekly/monthly
Documentation and RCA preparation
Quality Control/Assurance
Ensure designs meets quality requirements based on Process document and guidelines
Ensure improved performance & quality service delivery on weekly/monthly basis
Drive best practice in line with company Framework and BESt Practices
Ensure the provision of consistently high-quality services to our customers;
Work effectively as part of the team, with both internal and external key stakeholders.

Key Behaviours, Skills and Experience
Bachelor of Engineering Graduation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Deliver excellent cost-effective designs
Exposure in the TPG-T Optus and Telstra network arena
Proficient in MS suite, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint
Ability to analyze network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement resolutions.
Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, and VPN configurations.
Ability to prioritise tasks
Strong time management skills
Previous experience in a similar role (or) having hands-on experience on above mentioned systems
