Are You Our New Male Mental Health Support Worker?

We’re searching for a natural leader with a big heart, strong mind, and the skills to inspire people in the disability sector. You should:

Have at least 1+ year of Mental Health Support Work experience or other relevant experience

Be health-conscious - you care about fitness, self-improvement, and leading by example.

Bring strong communication skills and confidence to build relationships

Thrive in challenging environments, with experience managing participants with high behaviours and high needs, participants with disabilities and/or mental health conditions.

BONUS: Have experience in Men's Work, Coaching or Youth Work - or bring transferrable skills from backgrounds like the Police, Military, Martial Arts, Security, or Professional Sports.

Your Role as a Mental Health Support Worker

Supporting mental health cases

Dealing with challenging situations

Providing support in the community

Assisting in personal care (showering & toileting)
Mentoring & role modelling

Exposure to Alcohol and Other Drug addictions

Completing thorough shift notes & reports
