MAYDAY Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Commercial Credit Analyst to further develop their career and join a large Global Insurance Company.

You will be reviewing and evaluating a portfolio of clients, analyse financial statements, performing risk assessments and reports, and making sound decisions in line with the organization’s grading method.

Main responsibilities include:

• Analysing financial statements and credit history of potential clients
• Gather information about clients
• Monitor portfolio of buyer risks
• Perform credit checks and risk assessments
• Make informed and correct grading decisions backed by assessment
• Analysing and preparing reports
• Consulting and negotiating with clients regarding financial transactions, payment terms, and credit information
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients; arrangement and leading of meetings
• Monitor loans
• Keeping up with business trends understanding economic and industry risk

The ideal candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or any related field
• Must have previous working experience within the commercial Credit Analyst/Risk underwriting space, within commercial banking, commercial loans, credit bureau or insurance.
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of credit risk and credit management
• Understanding of legal, compliance and market risk related issues
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ethical behaviour
• Is innovative, looks for new ways to add value and contribute to positive change and advancement of the business
