We are offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced customer service officer with a logistic background to join our team as the Transport & Distribution Coordinator.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will join the team to provide a pivotal role within our business daily operations. Our team is tight-knit and dedicated, who provide support and assistance to each other. Onsite training and guidance will be provided to the successful applicant.

In this role, you will;

Oversee transport planning and time-sensitive delivery coordination

Handle customer inquiries and build proactive communication rhythms

Advocate for customer needs internally while balancing operational realities

Keep systems and teams aligned through clear updates

Solve problems in real time

Liaise with external third-party freight providers and forwarders

Adapt to daily changes which can implicate schedules

Ensure timely and organised communication with internal stakeholders regarding deliveries

Notify Customer Service of any DIFOT issues

To be successful in the role, you should have the following skills and competencies:

· Proficient and accurate data entry

· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

· Be able to negotiate with freight suppliers and to ensure accountability

· Excellent organisational and time management abilities

· Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to collaborate as part of a team, as well as work independently

· Previous experience in a shipping, logistics, or warehouse role preferred.

· Knowledge of shipping regulations and practices.

· Knowledge of Machship or other TMS platforms.

· Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP advantageous.

· Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
