Provide administrative support in a beautiful theatre, fixed term contract until October 2025
Ability to work flexible hours, particularly on weekends and after 6pm on weekdays
Salary from $58,846.98 - $63,438.42 p.a. plus 11.5% Superannuation, with additional weekend penalty rates applied as per the Award.
This is a maternity contract until October 2025.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Assistant – Front of House to join our team at Willoughby City Council!

About the role
The Operations Assistant – Front of House will provide efficient administrative support across the Zenith Theatre Unit, working closely with the Operations Manager and collaborating with various stakeholders both within and outside the unit. This role serves as a frontline champion for delivering excellent customer service to clients and patrons. Ensuring safety is your top priority.
You will be expected to prioritise day-to-day tasks effectively, managing the event calendar, assisting with venue hire coordination, and ensuring timely communication with clients and suppliers.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Assist with phone enquiries from new and existing clients and follow ups when required.
Event calendar updating and monitoring
Assist with the coordination of venue hires such a quotes, agreements and invoicing.
Assist in Front of House duties regarding events and performances
Assist in all documentation as per Zenith procedures
Where required assist in the banking reconciliation including bar and credit card reporting according to Council policies and procedures.
Assist in the rostering of casual team members
Communicate effectively and efficiently with Clients, Suppliers and Patrons.
Ability to work flexible hours, particularly on weekends and after 6pm on weekdays
Comply with all WH&S, Council Policies and Procedures
Undertake other duties, projects or tasks as directed and in line with relevant skills and competence.
Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in Event Management and/or relevant experience
Ability to work flexible hours, particularly on weekends and after 6pm on weekdays
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
Successful applicant will need to obtain Accredited Responsible Services of Alcohol – Level A & L
Experience in records management and data entry
