Casual rate of $38.01 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation, with additional weekend penalty rates applied as per the Award.

About the role
As a casual staff member, you are very much part of the team and work hand in hand with the duty manager to always ensure the comfort and safety of theatre hirers and the public.
You present a welcoming, courteous, helpful and efficient service for the Zenith Theatre to all users and are pro-active on behalf of the theatre in the areas of customer care and front of house duties. You will be responsible for ensuring that the facility is maintained in a clean state with the function areas set-up to the client’s specifications and that the venue is returned to its original state, so it is always ready for use.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Provide excellent customer service for clients prior to, during and post events
To be familiar with the Zenith Theatre’s fire and evacuation procedures and attend all emergency and evacuation drills
Stay informed about current and upcoming shows to confidently assist guests, answer queries, and positively represent the theatre and its offerings.
To maintain the standard of tidiness required in the foyer and the auditorium
Support efficient front-of-house operations by minimising waste, reducing losses, and helping maximise profit through attention to detail and care in service.
To be aware of the needs of patrons with disabilities of all kinds and to ensure those needs are dealt with tactfully.
Adhere to all WH&S systems, policies and procedures and adopt a responsible attitude towards own safety and safety of others. This includes strict adherence to any personal protective clothing and equipment requirements and attendance at relevant WH&S training.
Requirements
Previous experience in a Front of House Role in Theatre or Live Performance
Knowledge of front of house procedures in public buildings
Proven delivery of high-quality customer service
Hold an accredited RSA – Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
Ability to prepare facilities before and after events
Effective communication and proven ability to work as a member of a team
Available to work flexible hours on weekdays and weekends
Demonstrate commitment to Workplace Health & Safety (WH&S) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) principles through active participation in relevant training
