About the Role
Reporting to the Library Resources & Innovation Coordinator the core responsibilities include:
- Oversee the ongoing operation and daily functions of all library systems, hardware and other digital resources.
- Provide user & customer support for specific library systems, hardware and other digital resources.
- Support the delivery of digital literacy programs and activities to the community, through the development of programs, resources and training.
- Identify and recommend emerging and innovative technologies critical to the design and delivery of responsive and industry leading library services and to ensure operational efficiencies.
About You
We are looking for an experienced technology and digital expert to support the Libraries team and contribute to the objectives and outcomes of the service, with:
- Proven understanding of and ability to problem solve software systems, hardware and other digital resources with proven ability to develop processes and procedures for their use.
- Significant experience in delivering high quality and responsive support services within a busy public facing environment.
- High level of experience in developing training and education programs, resources and materials and proven ability to deliver group and 1-on-1 training sessions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to consult, negotiate, influence, liaise and coach effectively with a diverse range of people.
- Understanding of and ability to identify relevant new and emerging technology with relation to public library services.
- Demonstrated understanding of the role of public libraries in communities and community-focused approach to service delivery. Experience working within a public library service is desirable.
