As the Investigations Officer you will be undertaking research and assessment, and assisting with investigation and compliance activities in accordance with the Northern Territory Aboriginal Sacred Sites Act 1989.

You will consult with a wide range of stakeholders including Aboriginal custodians and landowners in relation to assessing Aboriginal custodian concerns and investigating allegations of sacred site damage. You will also contribute to a public education program about the Authority’s role and services including its statutory function to protect sacred sites across the Northern Territory.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has an interest in preserving Aboriginal cultural heritage, working within a small and dedicated team to ensure the protection of sacred sites and be a key contributor to the sacred site investigation and prosecution process.
