Job Summary:
Experienced and highly skilled VMware Engineer highly skilled with VMware NSX Datacenter Networking, Firewalls, and Application security. You will be focused on designing, deploying, and maintaining private cloud environments using VMware’s advanced cloud infrastructure and automation platforms.

The right person will be passionate about cloud security, thrive in complex virtual environments, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.

What will you be doing?

• Design, deploy, and manage VMware Cloud Foundation environments.
• Design, deploy, and manage VMware Datacenter environments.
• Implement and maintain VMware NSX, vDefend, and AppDefense.
• Proactively monitor and optimise system performance, capacity, and availability.
• Integrate VMware platforms with third-party tools and services as required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and application requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system designs, configurations, and procedures.

Skills and experience required to succeed in this role?

• 5+ years of hands-on experience routing, switching, datacenter, firewalls, and security.
• Strong understanding of SDDC concepts, networking, storage, and security in a virtualised environment.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools.
• Familiarity with scripting (Python, PowerShell, etc.).
• VMware certifications are highly regarded
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
• Good stakeholder management skills.
• Work onsite in Canberra, ACT.

Clearance required?

• NV1 Clearance or above.
