Sure People Solutions have partnered with a Locally owned engineering firm that specialises in the marine, mining, mineral processing, and oil & gas industries.

We are currently seeking applications from Marine Mechanical Fitters for an exciting opportunity to work between the workshop located in Henderson and the wharf on Naval vessels.

• Monday to Friday with the potential for further hours on weekdays and weekends (not mandatory)
• $56.25 an hour Flat rate + super

The Role:

You will be responsible for providing mechanical maintenance services within the naval/commercial ship repair & industrial sectors in a safe and efficient manner.

• Conduct equipment inspections to identify shortages, system defects and any other equipment issues
• Monitor the progress of project deliverables against required delivery dates
• Conduct overhauling of various mechanical units in the workshop or on site to a high standard and as specified
• Work in accordance with the company and client site HSEQ policies
• Complete and maintain project documentation (work instructions, test and inspections plans, task risk assessments and quality records.)
• Measure, calibrate and record mechanical sizes and equipment
• Complete work against strict deadlines and schedules

Skills & Experience:

The successful applicants will be competent and committed trade qualified "Marine" Mechanical Fitters who have the following experience and tickets:

• Working at Heights
• Confined Space
• EWP
• White Card
• Trade certificate
• Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings
• Hydraulic and/or Pneumatic system and equipment experience
• Gearbox and/or rotating equipment maintenance
• Pipework
• Ship building/Marine Experience (Mandatory)
• Rigging and Forklift (desirable)
• Must live in Perth metro area
