The Senior Finance Analyst / Management Accountant plays a pivotal role in managing the financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of month-end close and reporting, tax filings, cashflow forecasting and budgeting. This position will leverage advanced analytical skills to build insightful reports and dashboards, providing actionable insights to senior leadership and contributing to effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Month-End Journals and Reporting: Oversee the month-end process, including preparing journals, performing reconciliations, and generating financial reports, provide variance analysis in line with deadlines.
• FBT, BAS, and Year-End Tax: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), Business Activity Statements (BAS), and assist with year-end tax preparation and audits.
• Cashflow Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate cashflow forecasts, monitoring inflows and outflows, and providing management with regular updates.
• Advanced Reporting with Power BI: Design, build, and maintain sophisticated financial reports and dashboards using Power BI, utilizing Power Query and DAX for data manipulation and visualization.
• Excel Expertise: Use advanced Excel functions to analyse and report on financial data, including but not limited to complex formulas, pivot tables, and data models.
• Database Management: Work with large datasets and databases, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency for reporting and analysis purposes.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Advanced expertise in Power BI (Power Query, DAX, and Report building).
• Advanced Excel skills (complex functions, pivot tables, and data analysis).
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, including month-end, FBT, BAS, and year-end tax.
• Proven experience in cashflow forecasting and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• CA or CPA qualification
• Experience working with financial databases (SQL or similar).
• Ability to work with large datasets and high volumes of financial transactions.

Experience Required

• Minimum of 5 years in a similar finance or accounting role, ideally in a senior analyst or management accountant capacity.
• Extensive hands-on experience with month-end accounting processes, tax compliance (FBT, BAS), and forecasting.
• Advanced technical skills in Power BI and Excel, with a proven track record of building effective financial reporting systems and dashboards.
