Bus Drivers Required - Redcliffe / North Lakes

Keolis Downer currently have bus driver vacancies to cover the Redcliffe Peninsula and North Lakes area based at our Clontarf Depot

About the role

• Urban Routes: Safely transport passengers along designated urban routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
• School Routes: Provide safe and reliable transportation for school children, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Rail Replacement: Operate buses for rail replacement services, ensuring minimal disruption to passengers during rail service interruptions.

• As a Bus Driver with Hornibrook Bus Lines, you will enjoy interaction with the traveling public and be a customer service representative for the company. Full training on our routes, onboard technology and all other facets of the role forms part of your first two weeks training so you are well prepared before you take to the road. A full support network is available and with you through your training and at any other time you need them.
• You will also have the opportunity to be trained to use our new Electric Bus Fleet.
• Full Time Roles are rostered with additional overtime hours regularly available. Shifts are rostered in advance so you know what your hours will be. Permanent shifts can be applied for as they become available.
• Weekends and public holidays are on a volunteer cyclical roster and the entire shift paid at overtime rates.
• You will be based in our Clontarf depot but trained in both the Clontarf and North Lakes areas and may cover shifts at either depot.
• The routes cover the Redcliffe Peninsula and North Lakes area (one route goes through to Chermside), so no inner-city driving is required.

About you

• Drivers must hold a current MR or HR driver’s license (MR minimum essential) and Queensland Driver’s Authorisation or be able to obtain a DA prior to commencement (we can guide you with this).
• You must be available to work a variety of shifts on any day of the week as rostered to meet operational requirements (rosters are known in advance).
• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, work unsupervised and as part of team.
• Excellent customer service skills underpinned by an understanding of the needs of the commuting public.
• Excellent time management skills to meet our timetable requirements.
• Familiar with workplace health and safety procedures and policies is highly regarded but will also form part of your training.
• Experience driving urban route and school bus services will be highly regarded but not essential.
