The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is seeking a Fundraising Events Officer who will undertake an integral role in the development and delivery of the NGV Fundraising department’s events and engagement program to meaningfully steward the Gallery’s active and dedicated donor base, while encouraging support from new donors.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
Working in consultation with the Fundraising team, you will conceptualise, develop and implement the NGV’s fundraising events program, encompassing a range of end-to-end activities to deliver events for donor groups. Other key responsibilities include:
- Playing an instrumental role in the engagement activities for donors and donor prospects stewarded by the Fundraising department and Executive Management team you will coordinate bespoke donor meetings and viewings and be involved in departmental outputs for the NGV Gala.
- Embodying NGV values as an ambassador for the Gallery, you will be confident in hosting stakeholders at NGV events and providing a high level of customer service throughout. Gauge impact and outcomes of Fundraising events through regular monitoring and evaluating effectiveness of programs and developing strategies designed to ensure continued engagement.
- Working closely with colleagues on the delivery of international Fundraising initiatives such as the NGV Curatorial Tours and American Friends program by planning, coordinating and implementing logistics by booking airfares and accommodation, creating itineraries and reconciling credit cards and expenditure, alongside associated administrative and event related activities.
To be successful, you will have sound experience in stakeholder management and organising a wide range of evens within a high profile organisation, an understanding of philanthropic fundraising would also be beneficial. You can identify and process tasks required to achieve a goal, identifying more and less critical activities and operates accordingly and develop and implement systems and procedures to guide work and track progress.

Tertiary qualifications and previous experience with Tessitura would be advantageous.
