Posted 15 days ago
Are you ready to shape your role, build something great, and have real impact from day one?
At HWR, we do things differently. We’re a boutique occupational rehabilitation provider, focused on genuine connections, tailored services, and setting a new standard in workplace wellness and individual outcomes.
We’re on the lookout for an experienced Occupational Therapist to step into a Principal Consultant role and help us grow our next chapter.
Why join us?
🧡 We’re small – and we like it that way. You’ll be working closely with our experienced team (no middle managers or red tape here).
🌱 We’re growing – and you’ll grow with us. This is your chance to influence service development, mentor others, and shape a role around your strengths and interests.
🎯 We’re outcome-focused, not KPI-obsessed. We care more about the quality of your work than how many boxes you tick.
🤝 We’re people-first. That means flexible work arrangements, a supportive culture, and a commitment to your own health and wellness too.
About you:
You’re a Registered Occupational Therapist (AHPRA) with solid experience in occupational rehab
You enjoy autonomy, flexibility, and having a say in how things are done
You value person-centred practice, collaboration, and connection
You’re excited by the idea of helping build something meaningful – and having fun along the way
What you will be doing:
As Principal Consultant, you’ll bring your clinical experience and creativity to a diverse and meaningful caseload. Some key responsibilities include:
Initial Needs Assessments – identifying barriers to recovery and creating clear, realistic return-to-work (RTW) plans
Case Management – coordinating stakeholders, monitoring progress, and supporting clients through their recovery and return-to-work or life goals
Reasonable Adjustments Services – co-designing inclusive workplace solutions with employees, managers, and treating teams
Workplace Assessments – reviewing environments and tasks to inform practical, safe, and supportive solutions
Ergonomic Assessments – ensuring workstations support wellness and injury prevention through expert design and coaching
Collaboration and influence – working closely with GPs, allied health providers, employers, insurers, and support coordinators to ensure great outcomes
Innovation and service development – contributing ideas and shaping new offerings as HWR continues to grow
You’ll have opportunities to work across multiple schemes including Comcare, Workers Compensation (ACT/NSW), CTP, NDIS, and Non-Compensation, depending on your experience and interests.
Extra perks:
Choose your hours – full-time or part-time options
Career development, mentoring and leadership opportunities
Flexible work environment – we support your wellness too
A genuinely supportive team and flat structure
Laptop, phone, dedicated workspace with electric sit/stand desk
And yes, we love good coffee, team lunches 🍜 and regular social activities
If you’re ready to bring your skills, voice, and vision to a place where you can truly make a difference – we’d love to hear from you. Visit us at hwrehab.com.au
