We are looking for a floral designer long term to grow with Floral DeVine & offer skills development in all aspects of the business. Someone who:
• has experience or equivalently demonstrable within the retail florist industry, with a floristry qualification (Cert III)
• has excellent spoken & written communication skills, medium level computer skills
• has high motivation, a hard-work ethic, reliable but still can be joyful (has “hustle” & willing to get dirty)
• is passionate about flowers & floristry as well as having customer focus
• enjoys wiring work, can produce all styles of floristry
• a knowledge of plants would be beneficial
• is a team player, who thrives on the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment & meeting deadlines (quick & detailed) but can also manage slower periods
• is a person with a high level of attention to detail who takes pride in their work
• friendly, creative and can work independently - someone who is self-managed but equally able to work both as part of a team or by themselves

Main duties will include all aspects of retail floristry including:

Taking & completing orders as they come in from a website, phone & in person

Building & maintaining positive relationships with customers to achieve win/win outcomes for the business and Floral DeVine customers

Working to high-quality standards including ability to produce a high percentage of “on the spot” made to order customer requests

Maintaining cleanliness & safety of work areas

All areas of floristry housekeeping / preparations - beginning to end including store visual merchandising, stock management, opening & closing a store, market visits, and occasional deliveries

Restocking of gifts, homewares and floristry supplies

Supporting the small team

Other duties as directed
