Eminence One is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a 6-month contract supporting a key coal mining operation near Moranbah. With the potential for extension, this role presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-performing site with flexible FIFO arrangements and a strong team culture.

About the Role:

Based on-site Monday to Thursday (FIFO from Brisbane), with flexibility to work from home or the Brisbane office on Fridays. You’ll provide essential mechanical engineering and project management support across preparation plants, mining equipment, and site infrastructure, enhancing safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver technical support across CHPPs, mining equipment, and infrastructure

Lead and manage small to mid-scale engineering projects from concept to completion

Develop and refine maintenance strategies to optimise asset performance

Conduct root cause analysis and support defect elimination activities

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and site-specific standards

Work collaboratively with internal teams, site personnel, and contractors to achieve project and operational objectives

What You’ll Bring:

Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline

Demonstrated experience in mining, particularly with CHPPs, fixed/mobile plant, and infrastructure

Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills

Well-developed problem-solving and fault-finding abilities

Experience with 1SAP for asset management and operational workflows

Desirable (but not essential):

Current Coal Board Medical and Standard 11

Experience supporting operational readiness or sustaining capital works
