Mining Engineer - Labour Hire.

Wolfpack Hire - 2/1 FIFO - WA.

$105.00 per hour flat rate - Casual.

Weekly pay - Full time - 12 hours per day.

Superannuation on all hours - Temp to Perm Opportunity.

Immediate start and ongoing work. This position will start under Labour Hire during an initial period, with a high potential for permanent placement with the host company for the right candidates.

We are looking for skilled Mining Engineers for the Ridges Iron Ore Project, East Kimberley. Alternating for the Quarry Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the extraction of minerals from the earth while ensuring the safety and efficiency of mining operations. This role involves collaboration with various teams and implementing innovative technologies in mining practices.

You will have your QM ticket and have open pit experience who can do mine design, drill and blast design, be able to communicate with contractors and have good management skills. Our client is an active explorer, developer and operator of iron ore projects. They own the Ridges and Matsu Iron Ore Projects in the Far North region of Western Australia.

The Requirements:

Develop and implement mining plans, including reserve estimation and mine design.

Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of mining projects.

Oversee the design and analysis of surface mining layouts.

Collaborate with geologists to evaluate resource availability and quality.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.

Manage and supervise the extraction process, ensuring optimal efficiency and safety.

Conduct regular inspections of mining equipment and operations.

Analyse data related to production, cost, and productivity to enhance operational efficiency.

Prepare and present technical reports and project documentation.

Stay updated on the latest mining technologies and industry trends.

Pre-employment medical and lab DAS.

Provide a Police clearance.

The Essentials:

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering.

10 years of experience in mining operations or a related role.

Proficiency in mining software and design programs (e.g., Surpac).

Strong understanding of geological principles and mine safety regulations.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple projects.

Unrestricted Quarry Manager certification

Site Senior Executive (SSE) certificate or studying to obtain the qualification.
