About the role

MSS Security is seeking an experienced and motivated Site Security Supervisor to join our team at a prestigious University campus located in Melbourne's North Eastern suburbs. This is a high-profile site where professionalism, safety, and exceptional service are essential.

As the Site Supervisor, you'll play a key leadership role, acting as the main point of contact to the on-site security team. You'll help create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors while ensuring operations run smoothly every day.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Providing day to day supervision of staff on site while assisting the Site Manager as needed.
• Supervising the delivery of security services on a busy university campus, including control room and campus operations.
• Ensuring that all security officers comply with standard operating procedures and complete allocated tasks correctly and in the appropriate timeframes.
• Ensuring that all security officers are well presented and professional at all times.
• Recording changes to roster coverage on a daily basis and ensuring all relevant stakeholders are aware of these changes in a timely manner.
• Monitoring performance and attendance of security officers and challenging poor conduct and behaviour in line with organisational policy.
• Lead by example and promote exceptional customer service by providing professional, polite and helpful assistance to client enquiries.
• Ensuring property is locked and unlocked as required.
• Writing reports in response to incidents and escalate to relevant MSS Manager.
• Communicating calmly and clearly with key stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Demonstrated security industry experience leading teams.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• A professional, customer-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in an education campus or similar environment (highly desired).

Requirements:

• Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations.
• Security licence with control room subcategory.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Working with children check (or willing to obtain).
• Valid First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain).
• Full Victorian driving licence (no P Plates)
• Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster.
