The Opportunity

Ramsay Health Care is seeking a Service Line Director to lead the development and execution of initiatives aimed at delivering exceptional, comprehensive cancer services across Ramsay Health Care Australia. This pivotal role will work closely with the GM – Integrated Care & Service Development to enhance the existing Ramsay strategy & oversee the implementation of initiatives that drive the growth and evolution of cancer services within the organisation. The successful candidate will play an active, hands-on role, collaborating across the business to spearhead key projects and initiatives aligned with Ramsay’s strategic objectives. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the development of Australia’s largest comprehensive cancer care network, shaping the future of services and delivering exceptional care for our patients and doctors.

What You’ll Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting horizon scanning to identify emerging trends, assess their implications, and develop solutions for Ramsay.
  • Continuously enhancing and refining the existing strategy for the service line.
  • Overseeing and driving the implementation of key strategic projects.
  • Advocating for Ramsay's interests and fostering strong partnerships with external organisations.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of key initiatives (e.g. Ramsay Hospitals, VMOs, Ramsay Research)

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience working within a complex healthcare environment, preferably in the private sector.
  • Strong expertise in change and project management, with a demonstrated ability to think strategically and innovatively while managing both current operations and future planning.
  • Comfortable navigating dynamic, fast-paced, and ambiguous environments.
  • Track record of successfully overseeing and delivering complex programs of work.
  • Skilled in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating across business units, with the ability to positively influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, even without direct authority.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, complemented by confident presentation and public speaking abilities.

Desirable

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing health services.
  • An understanding of the Cancer landscape in Australia, preferably in the private sector
  • Strong analytical mindset, with well-developed financial and commercial acumen.
