MACHINE OPERATOR/GENERAL HAND

Opportunity:

The Shire of Denmark is seeking a suitably qualified person to fill the role of Machine Operator / General Hand within the Shire’s Infrastructure & Assets business unit.

Ideal Candidates:

· Machine Operator/General Hand to work with our Civil Team - skilled and qualified machine operator with experience in operating excavators, loaders, rollers and truck driving, and happy to undertake labouring. Some of the work involved would be maintaining our local road network and drainage as well as improving footpaths, trails, and cycleways.

· Some of the work may be physically demanding so personnel are required to be capable of carrying out essential job functions that require physical exertion.

· Someone who has a passion for and previous experience in civil works.

· Wants to be a part of a strong team culture and demonstrate the ability to be flexible and multitask within the team.

· Someone who has a strong focus on health and safety in the workplace.

Qualifications required:

· MC Licence (Preferred)

· HR Drivers Licence (Required)

· Plant Operating Tickets

· Construction Card

Other documents required:

· National Police Clearance

· Pre-employment medical

Hours: Full-time (76 hour / 9-day fortnight)

Salary: $67,444.00 per annum and up to 16.5% superannuation, plus additional allowances and benefits.
