Riverina Oils, produce refined vegetable oils & vegetable protein meal for the poultry, dairy and animal feed industries at our plant located in Wagga Wagga, NSW.
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Health Safety and Environment Manager to become an integral member of our team.
The role of the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager is to provide professional knowledge and practical experience that ensures the compliance, health, safety and wellbeing of the Company’s employees, contractors, and visitors to the Riverina Oils Facility. The HSE Manager is also to plan and direct the development of management systems designed to minimise the impact of an organisation on the environment. This includes the regulation and management of electricity, water, wastewater operation, waste minimisation and prevention of pollution.
Key Responsibilities
Health and Safety
Engage and mentor all Facility Managers, Supervisors, and employees in fostering a high-performance Health, Safety, and Environmental culture.
Promote HSE best practice through leadership and example including professional HSE advice to all employees and guidance, assistance, and support to the Riverina Oils Management Team.
Environmental
Establish in conjunction with the General Manager Operations and other Section Managers a series of HSE Objectives & Performance Targets for the business.
Ensure that the Company meets all HSE compliance & statutory requirements and monitor
What you will bring to the team
Minimum 5 years’ experience in HSE or other relevant discipline with relevant work-related experience or a certificate level qualification with relevant work experience; and/or equivalent level of knowledge gained through education, training, or work experience.

Highly developed communication skills, particularly the ability to liaise and consult with key stakeholders, and colleagues.
