The Role
Under the Integrated Primary Mental Health Care model this program focuses and delivers quality mental health and therapy services for disadvantaged, vulnerable or hard to reach individuals who have, or at risk of mental health condition throughout the Goldfields region.
A Few Specifics
- Conduct comprehensive client assessments to inform the development of a case plan or appropriate referrals according to the clients identified needs.
- Assess supports and ensure that they are appropriate to meeting client’s needs.
- referring and assisting clients to access appropriate mainstream specialist services and support groups.
- Be able to respond appropriately to client in crisis.
- Facilitate groups as required.
Selection Criteria
- Provisionally/registered Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Registered Nurse - all registered with AHPRA.
- Social Worker - eligible for ASWA registration.
- Experience in short-term therapy with individuals, couples and families.
- Relevant experience in working with children and families with complex needs.
- Demonstrated experience in intake and assessment.
- Knowledge and experience in early intervention and prevention program services.
- Highly developed clinical skills and knowledge.
- Strong professional boundaries.
- Driver's license.
- National Police Clearance (12-month validity).
- Working With Children Check or eligibility to apply.
