Serafino Wines in McLaren Vale is a prestigious winery owned and operated by the Maglieri family. Crushing approx 3000T of white and red varieties from our own estate vineyards, growers and contract crush clients.

We are seeking a highly experienced casual cellar hand with a view to permanency, at our McLaren Vale winery for immediate start.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for experienced Cellar Hand, please only apply if you have experience in this role. You will be involved in various cellar activities, from fruit intake and fermentation through to pressing and racking to barrels.

During the vintage period (Mid-January to April) you must have flexibility with shifts which will include extended hours and weekend work.

We are seeking an enthusiastic & motivated cellar hand with the following attributes:

Strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills

Lab experience ideally

Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Highly motivated, physically active and keen to learn new skills

Able to demonstrate a concern for wine quality, cellar hygiene and safe working practices

Current forklift licence is desirable

Driver's license and own transport essential

Ability to work outdoors and at heights, and confident in handling chemicals (with appropriate PPE)
