City Kids Early Learning Centre is a privately owned and run long day care centre, providing education and care to children aged 0 to 6 years. City Kids has six children's rooms that cater for babies, toddlers and kinder aged children. We have two Government funded kindergarten programs - a three year old and four year old program.
Kindergarten Teacher Role:
This role is a full time, 40 hour per week role running the three year old kinder program. The kinder program operates from Tuesday to Friday from 8am to 4.30pm, with an entire planning day on Monday for the kinder teacher.
City Kids follows the EYLF and NQS to inform curriculum planning and delivery in a play based manner. The City Kids philosophy centres around working closely with families and creating a “home away from home” for children. Also important is the wellbeing of all staff and children, with a supportive environment to help people achieve their best.
The successful applicant will have:
A minimum of two year's experience leading a kindergarten program
Evidence of effective curriculum planning and delivery that meets a broad range of needs
Effective documentation that informs learning and teaching
Strong communication skills with families and co-educators
Effective leadership skills
Positive behaviour guidance strategies
Knowledge of children with additional needs and how to support them
Knowledge of Child Safe Standards and hold children's safety and wellbeing in the highest regard
Education and Training required:
ACECQA Approved Early Childhood qualification
Hold a current VIT registration
Completed mandatory reporting training
Current first aid training
Salary and Benefits:
Salary is in accordance with Early Childhood Education and Care Multi-Employer Agreement 2024-2026
Kinder Teacher will get an additional four weeks of annual leave per year (8 weeks in total), eight hours per week of non-contact planning time, car park spot 4/5 days.
