About the role
At Ability Assist we believe in empowering people to live brighter lives. We’re currently on the lookout for a Community Disability Rostering Officer.
Reporting to the Community Disability Program Manager, this position is responsible for coordinating and optimising staff scheduling and the participant intake process within our home-based care and community access programs. It requires a proactive approach, excellent attention to detail, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Key responsibilities include
Develop and manage staff rosters to meet service needs, including:
Responding promptly to staff roster queries and resolving issues in a timely manner
Filling unassigned shifts efficiently to minimise service disruption and maximise cost-effectiveness
Maintaining accurate, real-time monthly rosters
Support the onboarding, supervision, and training of new staff
Assist the manager with participant intake and onboarding processes
Communicate with participants and families to support high-quality service delivery
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with NDIS requirements
Provide general administrative support as needed
We’re looking for someone who:
Experience in rostering and/or participant intake within the disability sector
Familiarity with rostering software
Understanding of NDIS processes and compliance
You will need:
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Australian Driver’s Licence
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
