ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
Are you a qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter or Diesel Mechanic currently working in New Zealand?

We're partnering with our Australian sister company, Techforce, to recruit skilled tradespeople for leading mining operations across Western Australia. These FIFO roles are available across both surface and underground mine sites, offering the change to join high-performing teams and work with world-class OEM equipment.

JOB HIGHLIGHTS:

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As a Diesel Fitter on site, you'll be part of a high-performing maintenance team responsible for keeping a fleet of large-scale mining and civil machines running smoothly. Your key duties will include:

• Performing scheduled maintenance and repairs on heavy mobile plant and ancillary equipment
• Diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic faults across a variety of machines
• Dismantling and reassembling components with precision and attention to safety
• Completing routine inspections and ensuring equipment is operating to standard
• Managing work orders, parts requests, and data entry in line with site procedures

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
In addition to being a team player with proven mining experience (Underground or Surface), you'll bring a proactive mindset and a commitment to safety. You will be experienced in OEM maintenance and refurb, through to diagnostics. To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Heavy Diesel Trade Qualification (New Zealand and or Australian Recognised)
• Current Open Manual Driver Licence.
• Demonstrated experience working on mining mobile plant, such as - Drill rigs, Dozers, Graders, Loaders, Excavators, and Dump Trucks.
• The ability to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
• A strong understanding of equipment diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to working collaboratively.

BENEFITS:
• Excellent rates: $75 - $85hr AUD + superannuation (dependant on site or roster)
• A range of rosters - (14/7, 9/5, 7/7, 21/7)
• FIFO from point of hire within Australia, likely Perth, WA - applicants however must be willing to self-fund travel to Australia
• Consistent, long-term project work with stable clients
• Exposure to major WA mine sites and modern mining equipment including CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Sandvik, Epiroc, and more
• Supported onboarding with both NZ and Australian-based teams
