ATLAS Recruitment are working closely with one of Australia’s leading developers of hyperscale Data Centres on the search for an experienced Contract Administrator / Quantity Surveyor in Melbourne. Our client is expanding their operations in Victoria and are actively developing several hyperscale projects across the city.

This role is the first appointment of its kind within their expanding development team and is intended to further be sophisticated their in-house processes & construction expertise.

The successful candidate will be joining a business still early in their growth. You will be afforded significant opportunities for progression as our client continues to scale at an international level.

Responsibilities

• Manage all financial aspects of construction contracts, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
• Ensure all contract obligations are met, tracking milestones, payments, and reporting.
• Oversee cost control, ensuring budgets are maintained and financial risks are minimised.
• Procure subcontractors, negotiating commercial terms in line with company protocols.
• Administer contract processes, including variations, progress claims, and financial tracking.

About you
To be successful in this role, candidates will have operated at an intermediate or senior level as a Contract Administrator (Builder) or Quantity Surveyor (Consultancy) on largescale construction projects in Melbourne / Australia.

• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management / Engineering / Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• 3 – 5 years’ experience as a minimum
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to influence, negotiate and resolve conflict
