As a Security Officer at our client's site, you'll play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment through active monitoring, access control, and professional customer service. This position sits within a high-security government setting and offers a dynamic, responsible role with a focus on vigilance, integrity, and service. The description below outlines core responsibilities and serves as a guide to the duties expected in this important role.

About the role
The position is primarily responsible for providing a security presence whilst remaining alert and focused. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer-focused team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our customers, and you will build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Access Control: Managing secure entry and exit points for staff, visitors, and vehicles.
• Patrolling: Conducting regular external and internal patrols to ensure the safety and integrity of the site.
• Monitoring Systems: Operating CCTV, alarm, and access control systems from the security control room.
• Customer Service: Providing a professional concierge-style presence and assisting visitors and staff.
• Incident Response: Responding to alarms and emergencies, coordinating with emergency services when required.

Skills & experience

• Valid NSW Security Licence (minimum Class 1A); Class 1F and 1E preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Experience working in high-security, government, or corporate environments is highly regarded.
• Competency in electronic security systems, CCTV, and incident reporting tools.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification, with experience in emergency response procedures.
