About the Position
As the Professor/ Associate Professor First Nations Health, you will provide academic expertise in the
discipline of First Nations Health within the CDU Menzies Medical Program working with the First
Nations Lead and First Nations Medical Student Advisor.

About You
We are looking for a First Nations health professional with some or all the following attributes:
• A doctoral degree in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience or post Graduate qualification in a relevant health discipline or equivalent health service experience and expertise in First Nations health
• A health professional with experience and expertise in First Nations health
• Experience in mentoring and supporting within a team to foster a culturally responsive workplace
• Demonstrated leadership experience in supporting staff to continuously improve to achieve their professional goals.
• Experience supervising and/or working with health students
• Experience in First Nations health education, teaching and assessment in the higher education sector
• High level interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with a diverse range of people.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to work collaboratively, develop and maintain relationships with key First Nations and other key stakeholders (internal and external)
• Demonstrated knowledge of research principles within the area of First Nations culture and health
Addition Selection Criteria for Level E:
• Published research in First Nations Health
• Strong leadership skills the ability to foster academic achievement in other with demonstrated leadership in teaching

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at HE Academic Level D/E Classification. The base salary will be in the range of $157,150 – $189,150 per annum (on a pro-rata basis for 0.2 FTE). The total remuneration package will be in the range of $183,865- $221,305 per annum (on a pro-rata basis for 0.2 FTE), including 17% superannuation.
