About the role

YFS Ltd is seeking experienced Domestic and Family Violence Practitioners to join our team as Embedded Workers. In this part-time role, you will rotate between Jimboomba and Beaudesert police stations, providing critical support and services to individuals and families experiencing domestic and family violence. As an Embedded Worker, you will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure holistic and effective responses.

What you'll be doing

Provide direct client support, including intake, assessment, safety planning, crisis intervention, case management and referrals

Advocate for and empower clients to access relevant services and resources

Deliver educational programs and workshops to promote awareness and prevention of domestic and family violence

Liaise with other community services and government agencies to ensure seamless, coordinated support

Maintain comprehensive client records and contribute to the evaluation of service delivery

Participate in team meetings, supervision and professional development opportunities

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, counselling or a related field

Significant experience working with individuals and families affected by domestic and family violence

Demonstrated ability to provide trauma-informed, client-centred support

Strong understanding of the dynamics of domestic and family violence and its impact

Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team

Commitment to the principles of social justice and human rights

Role type: Permanent part-time, 32-hour week
Pay range: $97,689 a year pro rata for part time hours with salary packaging exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax available
