Our client is looking for a strong Team Leader to guide a team of case managers delivering evidence-based care to children, young people, carers and families within the Permanency Support Program.

This role will involve;
- Provide supportive leadership to a small team of caseworkers through reflective supervision, professional development, and daily guidance, ensuring best practice for children and young people in care.
- Deliver high-quality, child-focused assessments and case management within the Permanency Support Program (PSP), prioritising stability, wellbeing, and long-term outcomes.
- Promote culturally responsive, contemporary casework practice through cultural planning, therapeutic care models, and tailored positive behaviour support strategies that foster healing and permanency.
- Apply trauma-informed principles within evidence-based frameworks, recognising the complex needs of children who have experienced significant adversity.
- Facilitate respectful engagement with families, carers, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and key stakeholders, including active participation in Family Group Conferencing and multidisciplinary planning.
- Ensure casework and decision-making comply with NSW child protection, permanency, and adoption legislation, safeguarding the rights and safety of children in care.
- Cultivate a collaborative, reflective team culture focused on continuous improvement and shared responsibility in supporting vulnerable children and families.
They are looking for candidates who demonstrate experience in delivering evidence-informed care and providing supervision to case managers.
The requirements for this role include;
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Services, Psychology, Family Therapy, or a related field
- Extensive experience in case management and assessment for vulnerable families, children, and young people in Out of Home Care.
- Demonstrated leadership, conflict resolution, and mediation skills, with the ability to support and guide a team while maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
- Strong understanding of contemporary case management principles, experience working with trauma-informed practices, and a commitment to inclusive service delivery for culturally and linguistically diverse and Aboriginal communities.
- Current Working with Children Check, and valid driver’s license
