Join a Team That Keeps Healthcare Moving Behind the Scenes
At Cabrini Health, our Health Information Services (HIS) team plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care-working behind the scenes to ensure every detail of a patient's health journey is captured, managed, and protected with precision.

We're the engine room of health information-responsible for everything from medical records management and clinical coding to information release, form design, and timely record retrieval and delivery. Our work ensures clinicians have the accurate, up-to-date information they need to make critical decisions, while safeguarding privacy and compliance every step of the way.

If you're passionate about detail, data integrity, and making a meaningful impact in healthcare-this is where your skills can truly shine.

The role
Are you a proactive and reliable team player who thrives in a dynamic, behind-the-scenes environment? Cabrini Health is on the lookout for several casual Administration Clerks to join our vibrant Health Information Services (HIS) team-primarily based at Cabrini Malvern, with occasional shifts at Cabrini Brighton.

In this hands-on role, you'll be an essential part of the hospital's daily operations. You'll help manage the flow of medical records-retrieving, delivering, and filing documents that are critical to patient care and hospital processes. From supporting clinicians with timely access to information, to ensuring every record is stored accurately and securely, you'll be a vital link in the healthcare chain.

This isn't your average desk job-it's active, rewarding, and full of variety. You'll be moving between departments, handling physical records, and working closely with different teams across the hospital. If you love staying busy, being on your feet, and making a meaningful impact without being on the front line of care-this could be the perfect fit.

We're offering casual shifts across weekdays, afternoons, weekends, and occasional public holidays (7.6 hours - 9 hours per shift), with potential for permanent part-time opportunities down the line.

Key requirements of the role

  • Certificate IV in Hospital Administration or Business Administration (desirable)
  • Commitment to be available to work a min of 3 days per week
  • Previous experience working with medical records or familiarity with medical terminology is a bonus, but not essential
  • A true team player-collaborative, dependable, and equally capable of working independently when required
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service, with a friendly, patient-focused approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude that builds rapport across teams
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and adapt when needed
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy, ensuring every task is completed to a high standard
  • Solid numeracy and literacy skills to support administrative efficiency
