The Role:

This 4-year fulltime position will see you lay ceramic, clay, slate, marble, glass and other types of tiles on external and internal walls and floors to provide protective and decorative finishes.

You will develop relevant skills and knowledge within the industry through working hands-on, and support this with study on-the-job towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling.

Duties Include:

• Carry out measurements and calculations
• Read and interpret plans and specifications
• Apply basic levelling procedures
• Use wall and floor tiling tools and equipment
• Prepare surfaces for tiling application
• Fix and repair floor and wall tiles
• Apply waterproofing process to internal wet areas

• Be able to follow directions and work under limited supervision
• Love working hands-on
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Hardworking and committed to work and learn
• An eye for detail
• Love learning new systems and procedures

Role Requirements:

• Current provisional or full driver’s licence with reliable vehicle
• Physically fit and healthy due to undertaking manual labour work
• Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including drug and alcohol test
• Previous experience or pre-vocational certificate (desirable)
