The Western Australia Police Force seeks a highly motivated individual to lead a multi-disciplinary team as the Executive Manager for Contracts for the Strategic Procurement and Contracts Division within the Finance and Business Services division.

As an inclusive and strategic-thinking leader, you will actively contribute to supporting frontline police officers to keep our community safe. You will directly see the benefits of your service delivery in support of police operations across the state.

You will ensure the high-quality management and performance of the team that are responsible for providing technical and strategic advice, support, undertaking day-to-day contract management activities, and the administration of contract governance activities for the WA Police Force.

THE ROLE

The Executive Manager is responsible for leading and the development and implementation of contract management frameworks, policies, and practices to ensure compliance with government and agency requirements. The role involves conducting strategic business planning to enhance contract performance and providing high-level specialist advice on procurement, purchasing governance, and compliance matters.

Key responsibilities include developing and monitoring contract policies, performance indicators, and reporting mechanisms, as well as delivering training and ensuring compliance with purchasing and records management activities. The Executive Manager also plays a key leadership role in managing a team, overseeing recruitment and staff development, and implementing strategies for high-quality contract management across the agency.

Additionally, the role requires string stakeholder management, fostering relationships with internal and external partners, negotiating contractual disputes, and providing strategic advice to senior executives. A commitment to information security, ethical standards, and integrity is essential.

This position is ideal for a highly skilled contract management professional with strong leadership capabilities, expertise in governance and compliance, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in contract performance.
