About the opportunity

We are currently looking for a Team Leader to join our Day Shift team on a full time basis, working four (4) ten hour shifts over the week, you can set the four days that suit (Mon to Thu or Tue to Fri - 5am to 3pm). Reporting to the Production Manager, we need someone who has previous experience working within a food manufacturing environment and has either some experience in a team leader role or is ready to take the next step into one. We need someone who has the ability to think on their feet and be ready for anything.

This is a hands-on role where you will work with and contribute to the team and ensure our quality and safety standards are met, whilst also ensuring company policies are adhered to.

Your key accountabilities will include but are not limited to:

Adhering to production schedules while ensuring health and safety obligations are met.

Supervising the completion of daily manufacturing, packaging and cleaning operations to GMP standards in the manufacturing area.

Working/communicating with cross functional teams.

Mentoring and developing team members.

Participating in RCA investigation to assist continuous improvement.

Manage warehouse receivals.

To succeed in this role, the ideal applicant will have, but not limited to:

Demonstrated experience within a food/beverage manufacturing/FMCG environment.

Good people and relationship building skills.

Experience with EH&S, GMP standards, and quality systems.

HACCP Food safety knowledge.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Solid computer skills including mathematical and analytical skills.

Excellent time management and attention to detail skills.

An ability to work in a fast paced, safety focused environment.

It would also be an advantage to have a forklift licence, but not a necessity.
