Broad Financial Controller position with team leadership and WFH flexibility

Paying up to $800/day, located in Sydney CBD for a 7-month temporary role

The Company

Our client, a leader in advisory services and at the forefront of the sustainability consulting market in Sydney, is seeking a Financial Controller to cover extended leave.

They specialise in empowering clients across diverse industries to embed sustainability into their operations and reduce their carbon impact.

They offer a fast-paced but flexible working environment, with 2-3 days a week working from home once training and onboarding is complete.

The Role

This role is a 7-month temporary role with an opportunity for extension. This role reports to the CFO, leading a team of 10 people. Your role as the Financial Controller will include, but not be limited to:

Staff management and mentorship

Financial reporting, including consolidated accounts

Managing AP, AR and payroll functions

Project works, including continuous improvement of the finance function

Ad hoc analysis as required

Your Background

To be considered for this Financial Controller role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

Demonstrated experience leading diverse teams

Hands-on approach to leadership, this role will require you to roll up your sleeves

On one week's notice or less for a contract position

Prior experience in a Finance Manager or Financial Controller position in a medium-to-large-sized business
