This boutique practice, renowned for its refined high-end residential work, is seeking a seasoned and passionate Technical Architect to contribute their decades of experience in a part-time, ongoing capacity. Based on the city-fringe in Melbourne’s north, the team is close-knit and design-focused, with a strong appreciation for quality detailing and documentation. This role is ideal for a semi-retired professional or someone looking to scale back while still making a significant impact on projects and mentoring the next generation of architects.

Key Responsibilities

Review and mark-up documentation, ensuring technical accuracy

Advise on construction details and specification writing

Mentor and support a team of talented younger architects

Contribute to Contract Administration and site inspections as needed

Collaborate closely with the Director to uphold design and technical standards

Skills & Experience

30+ years of architectural experience, ideally in high-end single residential

Extensive Contract Administration knowledge, particularly ABIC Simple Works

Strong technical expertise and detailing know-how

Proficient in reviewing drawings and providing clear, constructive feedback

Positive, collaborative and enthusiastic mentor
