Senior Procurement PartnerNorthern Suburbs Melbourne | $70 p/hour + super | 3-month temporary contract | Hybrid working

We are looking for an experienced and confident Senior Procurement Partner to support our client, a forward-thinking local council located in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. This is a great opportunity for someone who is skilled in strategic procurement and contract management and enjoys working across a range of services and project types.

This full-time, 3-month temporary contract offers an immediate start and hybrid working arrangements (3 days onsite, 2 days from home). You’ll play a key role in driving best practice procurement, providing strategic guidance, and supporting stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate and manage strategic procurement planning and contract processes in consultation with internal stakeholders
• Provide expert advice to management and staff on procurement and supply contracts, in line with the Local Government Act and Procurement Policy
• Prepare and maintain procurement documentation including tender plans, evaluation matrixes, contract registers, and intranet content

About you:

• Experience in a similar procurement role within the Public Sector, Not-for-Profit, Education or Healthcare industries
• Relevant tertiary qualification in business, commerce, procurement or significant experience in procurement practice
• Demonstrated experience in tendering, contract management and administration
• Skilled in developing and reviewing tender and contract documents across a range of categories including services, IT, and works
• Strong knowledge of tender evaluation processes and probity requirements
