Data Reporting Analyst - Privacy

Our global banking client is looking for a data reporting analyst - privacy to assist them with an ongoing project based in Sydney. With a strong focus on data privacy, security and compliance you will be managing and supporting all aspects of data protection and privacy risk strategy.

About the role

This role is reporting to the Head of ERM and closely working with key stakeholders across legal (Deputy Privacy Officer), marketing and product team. You will be responsible for preparing and conducting workshops to agree actions with key stakeholders to achieve the goal.

Responsibilities -

• Maintain privacy policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with global data protection regulations
• Monitor changes in global privacy laws and update compliance frameworks accordingly
• Manage the use of privacy management tools, ensuring operational efficiency
• Prepare & conduct workshops to agree actions with key stakeholders
• Act as a data risk specialist and support on any data risk activities

Skills and Experience -

• Must be familiar with key components of the risk management framework, data regulation and legislation
• Should have a broad understanding about Privacy laws and regulations
• 5+ years of experience of Data Risk and Data Privacy Risk and working knowledge of the laws in the jurisdiction
• Must be adept to work with key stakeholders and manage difficult conversations
• Prior experience within legal or paralegal would be desirable
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Risk Management, or a related field
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
