About This Opportunity

The Project Officer supports the Campus Planning team within the Property & Facilities division in delivering strategic planning initiatives. The role involves assisting with project and space planning, project documentation, project communication, signage and wayfinding, data management, and other key planning activities.

It contributes to several core divisional priorities. These include delivering campus master planning to guide strategic capital investment, supporting space planning and engaging stakeholders while analysing data to inform long-term asset planning.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the end-to-end delivery of strategic planning projects, including planning, coordination, and evaluation.
  • Maintain project documentation, procedures, and compliance with standards.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, consultations, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Draft project communications, reports, and supporting materials.
  • Manage data entry, retrieval, and reporting, including space audits and updates to the space management database.
  • Assist with signage and wayfinding graphic delivery.
  • Provide general administrative and committee support.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support collaboration and project outcomes.

About You

We are looking for an agile and adaptable project officer, with strong coordination and time management skills combined with excellent communication, attention to detail and the ability to deliver outcomes in a high-pressure, time-critical environment. Knowledge of graphic design software would be highly advantageous.

  • A degree or diploma in a relevant discipline with subsequent experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education training.
  • Previous experience working as part of a project team or in a similar role would be highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Experience with Archibus is desirable but not essential.
  • Project Management and multi-tasking experience, with an agile and flexible approach.
  • Problem identification and solution driven.
  • Excellent oral, written and stakeholder engagement communication skills.
  • Experience using project management programs including Microsoft Project or the ability to quickly learn these skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in providing a high level of customer service, including effective interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare clear, concise and logical reports.

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia.
