About the role

Join our dynamic team at Loop Roof as a casual Kitchen Hand/Cook located in the heart of Melbourne, VIC 3000. In this hands-on role, you will be an integral part of our kitchen operations, working closely with our dedicated culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients
• Maintaining clean and organised workstations, ensuring all equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and stored
• Following standardised recipes and cooking methods to ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes
• Supporting the team in expediting orders and maintaining efficient kitchen operations
• Adhering to strict food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Demonstrating a positive and collaborative attitude while working as part of a tight-knit kitchen team

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand or Cook in a fast-paced, customer-facing hospitality environment
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
• A genuine passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of our business
• Food safety and hygiene certification (an advantage)
